I was really dreading this morning’s workout , but since I have a USAPL clinic that I am attending on Saturday, I had to reorganize this week’s training. I always train deadlifts on Saturday because afterwards I really need that extra extra time to recover. I don’t know what it is, but after that first deadlift, all doubts are erased about getting it done.
- Deadlift: 135×8, 185×5, 230×5, 280×3, 325×3, 370×3, 415×7.
- RDL: 280×10,9,4,5,5. (Grip kept failing.)
- Barbell Row: 140×10, 160×3, 185×3, 205×10, 140×10,10,10,10,12 (AMRAP).
- DB Spider Curls: 25×25, 30×15, 35×14, 40×10.
TOTALS: 30,085 LBS, 4 Exercises. 25 sets. 81 mins. 8/10.
Looking forward to a few days off and then hitting the clinic on Saturday in Madison. I am pretty confident about my deadlift and bench since they’ve now both been tested in two meets — its just my squat that I am most concerned with. And heck, for $7 price of admission to the gym — the coaching is free. How can I pass that up? I’m also looking forward to meeting some of the other competitors that day too.
