I was supposed to deload this week, but I had such a lovely breakfast and the gym this morning was loaded with bros (spotters!) so I figured let’s try some heavy singles.
- Squat: 135×8, 225×5, 315×3, 365×3, 385×1, 405×1, 225×13.
- Bench Press: 135×7, 225×5, 275×1, 295×1, 305×1, 315×1, 185×17.
- DB Goblet Squat: 70×12,10,12.
- DB Floor Press: 75×8,8.
TOTALS: 15 sets. 71 reps. 14,905 lbs.
I wasn’t very happy last week with my squats, but today depth was no problem. But I am the most happiest with my bench today. I powered through three plates with no problem, but the pause on the bottom would probably have not made it a legal lift. I was lucky to have a spotter today, the guy that I asked to spot me followed my intructions to the letter.
Anyway, really happy today. Glad that boot camp thing was cancelled!
