After a nice week off and a deload session at the gym I am interning at as a personal trainer, today begins meet prep training.
- Squat: 135x2x7, 225x2x5, 315×3.
- Bench Press: 135x2x7, 225×5, then I changed benches and bars: 135×3, 225×3, I was supposed to pull 250 here but I can’t add plates: 275x2x1, 295×1, 305×1, 315×0.875.
- BB Floor Press: 135×7, 175×3, 195×3, 215×3.
Pulled singles today since I’m six weeks out. Not shown is a 305 lb paused bench press which I thought was going to be final attempt. It moved easy.
Rewatching the video and I have to clean up the motion at the bottom – even that 295 was a little sketchy. Luckily I’m six weeks out, plenty of time to clean up my technique.
