That internal oblique is feeling a little better today, but the first thing I did when I got in was smash and floss the area and my hips while getting a good warm-up in my lats and upper back.
- Bench Press: 115×10, 140×7, 170×5, 215×5, 240×3, 250×7, 270×7 (made rep goal), joker sets –> 285×1, 300×1, 320×0.
- Floor Press: 135×6, 225×3, 245×3, 265×2.
- ISO Machine Row: 150x5x10.
- Face Pulls: 35×12, 42.5×12, 50×12, 57.5×12. What is it with these cable machines and their weirdness?
Despite missing the PR on the 320, really satisfied with today’s session. I am feeling pretty positive that a new USAPL platform bench press might be in store for me in the future.
Later today when I take my daughter to the Y, I have a good 90 minutes to floss and smash and stretch and mobilize. I intended to really focus on the internal oblique and my hips, and bygod if I am lucky, a cold bath later in the day.
